This website is dedicated to the underappreciated people from history: the underdogs, the rebels, and all those who have been condemned, denounced, villified, or repudiated by today's society. It was created in response to the recent and continuing assault on historical figures and their statues and monuments. This is a place that celebrates and honors the historical figures that society has deemed unworthy of being celebrated or honored. Although none of them are perfect, they are all human beings deserving of respect and with remarkable stories to tell. Their lives mattered.
