Short biography:
George W. Bush became the first president of the 21st century after defeating Al Gore in the closest, most disputed presidential election in American history. Bush led the country through the September 11th terrorist attacks and resolved to fight terrorism around the world. True to his word, Bush invaded Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003, overthrowing the tyrannical governments of the Taliban and Saddam Hussein respectively and helping to establish democracy. Bush opposes gay marriage, aboriton, high taxes, and stem cell research. He vetoed his first bill, a law encouraging stem cell research, in 2006.
