A political philosophy that I agree with, and that the world needs more of.
One of the most angering things that has taken place over the past few years (and there are many, many things in the running for that title) is the mindless repetition of platitudes stressing the alleged importance of protecting, defending, and safeguarding “our democracy.” It is presumed as an obvious and self-evident truth that democracy is a good thing, and anyone who even questions this idea is condemned as a fascist, an “insurrectionist,” and a “traitor.”
I guess I’m all of those things, because I do not support democracy and do not think it is a good form of government. I hope to have time and energy at some point to write a longer post explaining why, but for now, the below meme that I came across on Facebook provides a great explanation:
