Lee-Jackson Park is a privately owned park being created to honor Robert E. Lee, Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson, and other historical heroes who fought for the Confederacy. With local, state, and federal governments deciding that only one perspective deserves to be recognized and only one type of historical figure honored on public land, it falls to individuals and groups to create monuments, at their own expense, honoring these marginalized heroes. It is inspiring and hope-giving that people have done exactly this, Lee-Jackson Park being one example. It is my goal to visit it one day.

Cool statue of St. Thomas More, the patron saint of attorneys and politicians… his hat and outfit remind me a bit of Christopher Columbus.

Cool sculpture of Lorenzo de’ Medici, also known as Lorenzo the Magnificent. His hat and hair style remind me of a bit of Christopher Columbus.
